Julia Dashwood

Say hello to Julia

Here we feature a different woman in the Brow Confidence community and ask her about her first brow experiences, the lessons she’s learned, and her top brow tips.

Meet BC woman Julia Dashwood who has learnt the key to good brows is all about balance.

Name: Julia Dashwood
Age: 43
Occupation: Mum of three, volunteer of lots

1. Tell us about your first brow grooming experience.

It was the nineties… need I say more? The wax was hot and the brows were severe. I thought I looked fabulous.

2. What is your current brow routine?

I fill in any gaps and balance them out with a combination of powder and pencil. Lien taught me to steer clear of any brow products throwing a warm or red undertone – they’re not good! Then I brush up and set with either Pears soap or a brow-setting product.

“The wax was hot and the brows were severe. I thought I looked fabulous.”

3. What does brow confidence mean to you?

It means feeling fresh and put together, even if it’s the only thing I do to my face that day (other than sunscreen, obvs).

4. How did you find out about Lien?

I asked my sister, who is a super sleuth, to find me the best eyebrow groomer around. She did some digging on Instagram and delivered me Lien.

My first appointment was transformative. Lien didn’t just want to fix my brows and send me away… She wanted to equip me with the knowledge and skills to reproduce my own unique ultimate brow shape at home.

I’ve been seeing Lien for several years now, and every time she teaches me something new. She has such a generosity of spirit and a passion for empowering other women.

“It’s no good having two lovely brows if they don’t match.”

5. Biggest lesson you’ve taken away?

Balance, balance, balance. It’s no good having two lovely brows if they don’t match. Make friends with a few simple products to balance out and enhance your brows.

6. Describe your brows in three words:

Restored. Refined. Mine.

Brow Confidence is about building a community of women that want a better future for their brows.
