Lia Townsend
Say hello to Lia
Here we feature a different woman in the Brow Confidence community and ask her about her first brow experiences, the lessons she’s learned, and her top brow tips.
Meet BC woman Lia Townsend, a creative who swears by concealer to define her brow shape.
Name: Lia Townsend
Age: 36
Occupation: Heart and hands of Stories to Gather
1. Tell us about your first brow grooming experience?
It involved my friends taking me to a woman who had titled herself “Queen of the Arch” after school. I left with thin, arched eyebrows which was the style at the time, but not at all appropriate for my eyebrow and face shape.
2. What is your current brow routine?
I see Lien every few months for a trim and shape. Each morning I brush up my eyebrows with a spoolie and use brow soap (Pears soap and water) to help hold them in place. My face seems brighter, I feel more polished, and it has become an essential part of my morning routine. A spoolie would be my desert island beauty product
3. What does brow confidence mean to you?
Embracing my natural shape to work for me rather than trying to make it fit into something else.
4. How did you find out about Lien?
A friend referred me to Lien and I knew from my first appointment that I would not let anyone else touch my eyebrows. She worked on balancing my eyebrows and showed me the areas in which I needed to grow out. What surprised me was that she shortened the tail which no one had ever done before. It instantly made my eyebrows look fuller and my eyes appear larger.
5. Biggest lesson you’ve taken away?
To conceal around your eyebrows to define the shape rather than adding colour. This helps to give further definition to my eyebrows without the heaviness that colouring brings to my already very dark eyebrows.
6. Describe your brows in three words:
Essential, natural, and refined.
Brow Confidence is about building a community of women that want a better future for their brows.
